A global algo trading company is looking for a devops engineer.
The role of this individual will be to design, install, configure, administer, tune, and optimize linux servers and related components to achieve high availability and performance of the various business applications.
In addition the individual will design, implement and manage a low-latency production network for inter-server communication.
We are seeking an individual who is curious, intellectually driven, practical, purposeful and result driven. he/she should have a deep technical understanding, excellent communications skills, and is service orientated.

Proven experience as linux system administrator/devops – must
Experience in at least one language like bash, python or perl – must
Familiar with configuration management platform e.g. ansible, puppet – advantage
Understanding of high performance computing (hpc) and clustering technology – advantage
Understanding of parallel filesystems (fhgfs, beegfs, lustre, pnfs, mfs) – advantage
Working knowledge of firewalls, ipsec, site-to-site vpns, and load balancing – advantage
Working knowledge of server virtualization – advantage
Familiar with monitoring systems like ganglia, nagios and zabbix – advantage
Familiar with cloud solutions like aws – advantage
Networking knowledge – advantage
Bsc degree in information technology, engineering, computer science or equivalent experience – advantage.
